Directions
- Rinse chicken under cold water, pat dry, and place in a large pot.
- Cover with water and bring to a rolling boil.
- Add cho cho (if using), carrots, and pumpkin. Cook 30 minutes, adding water if needed.
- Add yam, dasheen, breadfruit, scallion, thyme, hot pepper, and other ingredients.
- Simmer another 30 minutes to blend flavors.
Serve: Remove from heat, ladle into bowls, and enjoy your hearty Jamaican chicken soup.
